What is Argus?

Argus is Cosmon’s AI agent for engineering. It connects directly to your installed CAD and simulation software and lets you control it through conversation — creating geometry, running analyses, debugging errors, and extracting results. Unlike general-purpose AI assistants, Argus has real access to your tools. When you ask it to create a sketch, it creates it in SolidWorks. When you ask it to run a mesh, it runs it in Ansys.

What Argus can do

CAD

Model and draft parts, run DFMA and design reviews, stack up tolerances, reverse engineer scans, and automate bulk CAD work — directly inside SolidWorks and other CAD tools.

CAE

Set up simulations from scratch, diagnose solver failures, extract results, and generate reports — across Ansys, COMSOL, Abaqus, and Star-CCM+.

How it works

Argus sits between you and your software. You describe what you want, Argus determines the right sequence of operations, calls the appropriate tools in your CAD or simulation package, and reports back with results.
The Cosmon Connector runs on your machine and gives Argus secure, local access to your installed software. No files leave your machine without your knowledge.
