Onshape is browser-based, so there is nothing to install and no version for you to pick — your company is always on the release Onshape has rolled out. Argus connects through the Onshape REST API and targets API v16, the current API version as of Onshape release 1.217. We track the latest Onshape release; coverage against release 1.218 is still being validated. If something doesn’t work on your release, contact support@cosmon.com.

Operating systems
The Cosmon Connector runs on the same machine as your CAD or simulation software.Integration coverage on macOS is Autodesk Fusion and Onshape, the two CAD platforms that run there. Integration coverage on Linux is currently limited to Ansys, Abaqus, and COMSOL on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@cosmon.com if you need Linux compatibility or a macOS integration not listed here.
macOS system requirements
The macOS app ships as a DMG for Apple Silicon (M-series) Macs running macOS 11 or newer. Drag Argus to Applications and open it; no administrator rights are required. Intel Macs are not supported yet. The app is signed with an Apple Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple, so Gatekeeper opens it without an “unidentified developer” prompt. Updates are downloaded and applied by the built-in updater.Linux system requirements
The Linux app ships as a single x86_64 AppImage. There is no installer and no package manager involvement — mark the file executable and run it. Root is not required. Argus requires glibc 2.28 or newer. glibc is a core component of the operating system, so its version is determined by your distribution release and cannot be upgraded independently.
To check the version on a workstation:
Voice input is the one feature with a higher requirement — it needs glibc 2.38 or newer (Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Debian 13, RHEL 10). On earlier releases every other feature works normally and only speech-to-text is unavailable.
